The Mallikarjuna Temple, situated on the Nallamala Hills at an elevation of 457 meters, is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is unique as it's one of the few temples where both the Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peetha are present. The temple complex houses both Lord Mallikarjuna (Lord Shiva) and Goddess Bhramaramba (Devi Parvati). The temple's architecture reflects Dravidian style, with inscriptions dating back to the 2nd century BC. The temple complex, spread over 2 hectares, includes several smaller shrines and magnificent mandapams.
